Masters Degrees in Oncology, University of Torino
Courses for Masters degrees in Oncology are undergoing through reorganization on a national scale, backed by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca and by the Ministero della Sanità. This reform will consist in a division of the five-year course into four mainstream subjects: (i) medical oncology (ii) surgical oncology (iii) diagnostic oncology and (iv) molecular oncology. The institute has been designated as a reference point for identifying the content and planning of the fourth subject. This should provide specialized medics with training to gain the knowledge necessary for carrying out techniques in molecular diagnostics (preventative and clinical) and in innovative therapy, including gene therapy.
