in Cancer Genomics

The recently established Oncogenomics Center at the Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (IRCC) is actively recruiting motivated individuals to fill postdoctoral and PhD student positions. The focus of the research is to identify novel therapeutic targets by mining the genome of cancer cells using innovative post-genomic applications *. Technological platforms include:

  • Mutational analysis of gene families in human cancers.
  • Functional analysis of oncogenic alleles using an innovative technology for targeted homologous recombination in human somatic cells.
  • Genome content analysis of cancer cells with Digital Karyotyping.
  • Functional genomics of cancer progression by DNA-microarray profiling and high-throughput cell-based assays.

Postdoctoral candidates should have a doctoral degree (PhD and/or MD), evidence of outstanding research potential and publication record. The PhD student positions are open to candidates from all countries and holding the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science degree

Applications for postdoctoral positions should include: curriculum vitae, summary of past accomplishments, the names and contact information of three references and reprints of at least two peer-reviewed articles.
